Domaine Cros de Romet – Cuvée Affrountaire 2019 is one of the most character‑driven Cairanne Cru wines crafted by Alain Boisson. Produced only twice so far (2019 and 2020), this cuvée has become a hidden gem in the Rhône Valley. The wine shows a red‑ruby hue and opens with a beautiful aromatic mix of herbs, ground pepper, rosemary, and garrigue.
After a few years in the cellar, Affrountaire 2019 reveals an elegant mouthfeel, soft tannins, and a refined, terroir‑driven profile. The garrigue character is outstanding, while the acidity stays gently in the background. Even the basic cuvée Cros de Romet is excellent — but Affrountaire stands out as a rare and expressive Cairanne Cru.
