La Côte Sauvage 2022 from Domaine Boutinot delivers exactly what its name promises — wild, aromatic and deeply expressive Cairanne character.

Right after opening, the air fills with provencal garrigue, rosemary and a whole bunch of herbs. A beautiful and authentic southern Rhône bouquet.

On the palate, the wine shows dark red fruits with pure elegance and a long, satisfying aftertaste. As it opens further, liquorice joins the aromatic party, adding depth and complexity.

Another great experience from Cairanne — and a reminder of how consistently strong this appellation performs. You probably had an older vintage on your first visit, but 2022 stands proudly on its own.
