Domaine Gourt de Mautens – Vaucluse Blanc 2019

Gourt de Mautens Blanc 2019 is one of those wines that refuses to fit into any simple category — Jérôme Bressy’s rebel spirit in liquid form. The nose is filled with orange peel, a touch of brioche and ripe pineapple. It really does feel a bit like an aged Viognier, but with more depth and tension.

On the palate, the wine brings great acidity and impressive concentration. The texture is dense yet fresh, and the finish is very long, stretching out with layers of fruit, minerality and subtle oxidative notes.

It’s hard to describe — and that’s exactly the charm. A wine that feels like an experience rather than a simple tasting note.
