Visit Cros de la Mure (05.06.2026)
A wonderful visit at Domaine Cros de la Mure on June 5th, 2026, together with my friend Edwin. After a relaxed conversation with Eric Michel, we tasted the current bottled vintages: the Côtes du Rhône 2023 with complex dark fruit and fine tannins, the rich and expressive Côtes du Rhône Blanc 2023, and the elegant Châteauneuf‑du‑Pape 2021 full of ripe red fruit and soft tannins. The Massif d’Uchaux was not yet bottled — a perfect reason to return later in summer. Another memorable highlight at on
The Entrance
🍇 From Bottle
Côtes du Rhône Rouge 2023
A beautifully complex wine with dark, ripe fruit — cassis, bramble, blackberry — supported by fine, polished tannins. A classic Cros de la Mure signature: depth, purity, and freshness.
Côtes du Rhône Blanc 2023
A standout white Rhône from a great vintage. Apricot, ripe orange peel, and a rich, textured palate make this wine both expressive and vibrant. 2023 clearly shines for the whites.
Châteauneuf‑du‑Pape 2021
Elegant and refined with ripe cherry and raspberry, soft tannins, and a beautifully balanced structure. A CdP that focuses on finesse rather than power — absolutely charming.
🛢️ What’s Coming Next
The Côtes du Rhône Villages Massif d’Uchaux was not yet bottled — expected around the end of August.
A perfect excuse to return, and I certainly will.
⭐ Conclusion
Another unforgettable visit at Domaine Cros de la Mure. Eric Michel continues to craft wines with soul, purity, and unmistakable Rhône character. From the expressive 2023s to the elegant 2021 CdP, every bottle reflects his dedication and the unique terroir of the Massif d’Uchaux. At least he opened one bottle of his private cellar, Chateauneuf du Pape - 2009. It was a great expierience of ultra fine tanins, fruit and elegance in one bottle. Nice to see how the wines evolve over the years !
