Visit Domaine Bois de Boursan (03.06.2026)

A wonderful annual visit at Domaine Bois de Boursan with Jean‑Paul Versino, featuring an exciting tasting across three vintages. The bottled wines showed classic estate character: Tradition 2023 with sweet tannins and garrigue, Félix 2023 with dark fruits and soft leather notes, and the vibrant Tradition Blanc 2025 with green apple and fresh acidity. From barrel, the Tradition 2024 impressed with energy and fruit purity, while the Félix 2025 already displayed a refined, Burgundy‑like elegance.

🍷 Visit at Domaine Bois de Boursan — Tasting Highlights 2026

A yearly pleasure to visit Domaine Bois de Boursan and taste with Jean‑Paul Versino

This year’s visit once again confirmed why Bois de Boursan remains one of the most authentic and character‑driven domaines in Châteauneuf‑du‑Pape. We tasted a mix of bottled wines and barrel samples, covering three vintages and both red and white cuvées.

🍇 From Bottle

Cuvée Tradition 2023

A classic expression of Bois de Boursan: fine, sweet tannins, plenty of garrigue, and the unmistakable touch of Provençal herbs. Balanced, traditional, and immediately charming.

Cuvée des Félix 2023

A deeper, darker profile with sweet red and black fruits, soft, polished tannins, and a hint of leather. Elegant and structured — a beautiful vintage for Félix.

Cuvée Tradition Blanc 2025

A standout white Châteauneuf‑du‑Pape: green apple, fresh acidity, and impressive vibrancy. A superb white CdP with tension and clarity.

🛢️ From Barrel

Cuvée Tradition 2024

(No Cuvée des Félix produced in 2024)
All fruit went into the Tradition this year — and it shows. Even from barrel, this was a “bottle me now” kind of wine: lots of fruit, fine tannins, and remarkable freshness. It will be exciting to see how it evolves over the next year.

Cuvée des Félix 2025

Already showing a Burgundy‑like elegance after a few months in old barrels. The wine has settled beautifully, gaining finesse and depth while keeping its signature dark‑fruit core.

Conclusion

Another memorable visit at Bois de Boursan — and a fascinating look at three vintages in different stages of development. Jean‑Paul Versino continues to craft wines that combine tradition, purity, and unmistakable Châteauneuf character.
